A Birthday Gift to Mother

For many a years we strayed in the alley of life, Feeling lost
That solitary sense of desperation had succumbed
To the jangling discords of the mortal world;
And the spiritual aspiration of our souls
Lacked the strength of righteousness

When the world was plagued with evil
Incessant fighting and extreme suffering on one hand,
Phantoms of anomie and widespread perversions on the other
When the age-old demons of the East

Joined forces with the modern ideologies of the West
Their offspring are those of immorality and depravity.
How then could we not have cried in despair,
O! Almighty Power, where are you?




We had been to the grand halls and temples of religions
With reverent hearts full of hope.
But heard instead abusing and fighting with each other
In which hall, which temple then
Does the Universal Truth reside?

And how so many,
were lost on this alley of seeking..
O Great Mother!
It is You, who spoke to us the Truth
It is You, who showed us the way to Truth

Henceforth, We Understand
That in all incarnations of every race and tribe
The Almighty had been revealed.
O Supreme Love of God,
With no beginning nor boundary, Formless and unseen
Yet illuminates the Hearts of all Sentient Beings
O Goddess of Joy,
You shall lead us to the shores away from illusion
For It is You who awakened our sleeping Kundalinis
Granting us the connection
Of the seeker's minute Self

With the Universal Greater One, the Collective Unconsciousness
Just as a drop joins the Ocean.
O Holy Immaculate Spirit,
Set thy sight to the far end of horizon
To bath in the Ocean of Divine Love
And be filled with the all pervading Brahma-chaitanya.
O Great Mother!
You are the Alpha; You are Omega.
You are the Primordial Mother Adi Shakti,
You are the Light of the Future!
