3 Reasons to Start Practicing Meditation with Sahaja Yoga

Sahaja Yoga was created by Shri Mataji as a universal system to become spiritual. This is not an easy goal for any organization, non-profit or otherwise. With diligence and care, Shri Mataji evolved a model to manage learning that relies on the innate goodwill and strength of humans.

It Starts Big
Sahaja Yoga starts with the awakening of the primordial power, the Kundalini. The current general state of human evolution supports the rising of the Kundalini in people born the 20th century and beyond without any special training, instruction or knowledge. Just like we were able to stand erect and walk on two legs instead of four at some point, we've crossed the bridge of readiness to awaken the Kundalini energy as humans.

Pay-It-Forward, Grow Within
This first step automatically makes a seeker able to feel and raise another person's energy: Pay-It-Forward. In fact a seeker's deepening relationship with the kundalini now depends on how much she passes the experience forward. This creates a tremendous potential to spread the actual happening without the burden of textbook knowledge, which is most likely to slow down, rather than support the seeker of truth.

Eliminate the Middleman
Another challenge facing spiritual systems was the existence of middle-men and priests. This risk is managed by immersing the learner in a peer-network of practitioners. A new learner benefits best from finding peer-mentors who are at some point in their own journey. The individual limitations of a life-long single mentor are overcome. The online library of a 1000+ talks by Shri Mataji further removes the need for a peer-mentor to be a know-it-all.

Sahaja Yoga has grown to 100+ countries and is practiced on every inhabited continent. However, those who practices are never a statistic.

Now the truth is that the Spirit is within you and you are the Spirit. You are the beauty, the bliss and the joy of that Spirit. That’s what you are. Because your attention is not there, that’s why you cannot feel your Spirit. But your Spirit exists; it is within you, in your heart, waiting for a moment to come into your conscious mind, to be felt by you in your central nervous system. It’s all there, built within you.
